Privacy
Your documents are yours.
Angler helps you search your own documents on your Mac. This page describes the privacy commitments that matter to users without detailing internal implementation.
Your files stay yours
You decide which folders Angler can search. Angler does not save your documents anywhere beyond your computer or store them as a cloud library.
Angler is designed to help you find and reuse material from the files you already have, not to turn those files into an Angler cloud repository.
What Angler does not do
Angler does not sell your data or documents to third parties. This page intentionally stays at a user-facing level and does not describe Angler's internal implementation.
Waitlist and site analytics
If you join the private-beta waitlist, the site sends your email address to the waitlist service so the team can send a confirmation and beta updates. The form is for waitlist/download communication, not a newsletter signup. The site’s optional PostHog analytics use in-memory persistence and do not identify you by email; visitors with Global Privacy Control enabled receive no analytics capture.
For a question about this page or a beta request, contact hello@angler.fyi. The agent guide summarizes the same user-facing privacy commitments in machine-readable form.
